Some old pictures from the Notting Hill Carnival back in 2016.

Both times I’ve been to Carnival (2002 and 2016), I’ve never really liked it. In ’16, I went with two older regulars who started singing Baker Street when we were at the station and, as nice as they were, it was quite dull. Most of the time was spent watching Chainska Brassika, who put on a great show, but weren’t the most fun to watch in the Carnival microcosm. On top of that, it was a bit of a stampede as well.

With that being said, I’m hoping on going back in 2022 with people who I’ll actually enjoy it with, because there’s way too much potential.
